Cliff Roll, 75, High Ridge, died July 20 at St. Clare Health Center.

Born May 21, 1941, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Wil-liam and Iphi (Johnston) Roll. Mr. Roll was an engineer for 36 years at Sunnen Products Co. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing and golfing. Mr. Roll loved motor sports and animals, and served as a volunteer firefighter in High Ridge in the late 1960s.

Mr. Roll is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sharon (Detty) Roll of High Ridge; two children: Don (Sandy) Roll of Cedar Hill and David (Lynette) Roll of Quincy, Ill.; five grandchildren, Clayton, Caleb, Garrett, Sullivan and Sylvia; one sister: Gloria Jane McGonagle; two brothers-in-law: Monty Joe (Michelle) Detty and Anthony Detty; and one sister-in-law: Anita (Frank) Little. He was preceded in death by a brother, Milton “Bud” Roll.
