The city of Sunset Hills recently was presented the Missouri Arbor Award of Excellence.

Sunset Hills is the first recipient to earn the prestigious award two consecutive years, ac-cording to a news release.

The Missouri Department of Conservation and the Missouri Community Forestry Council jointly present the award for good stewardship, tree care, type and quantity of plant material planted this past year and overall conservation/preservation of the community.

The award comes with two free registrations to the Missouri Community Forestry Council’s annual conference, which will take place in Chesterfield this year, and two free invitations to the awards banquet.
