Church plans third annual Big Bash Saturday

Concord … a church for everyone … this week will sponsor its third annual Big Bash, a one-day community event filled with live music, food and entertainment that features one goal: to expose people to Jesus Christ, according to a news release.

Big Bash 2004 will feature four local bands that will perform throughout the day Saturday, June 12, at Lemay Park, 234 Military Road. Additionally, special entertainment and activities will be available for children. A pig roast also will be served.

Tickets cost $10. Children 12 and younger are admitted free.

The schedule of events is:

• 1 p.m. — Sasha — a Christian female vocalist and guitarist who will perform contemporary and traditional music.

• 3 p.m. — Charles D’Angelo — A keyboardist who will play popular hits written for piano.

• 4 p.m. — Chris Shepherd Band — A Christian male three-member power trio that will play a mix of urban blues and rock.

• 5 p.m. — Pig roast.

• 6 p.m. — Troy Wood — A Christian male five-member band that will play a wide range of music from southern gospel to Christian contemporary.
