Christmas in Crestwood should include people of the other faiths too

To the editor:

I was glad to see the all-volunteer nonprofit Christmas in Crestwood was planning holiday events, but saddened that people of other faiths do not appear to be welcome.

Now, more than ever, we need to see and include others, not exclude them. Student essays about their favorite holiday, a scavenger hunt and classic car parade are all wonderful ideas which can easily embrace people of all faiths, or of no faith.

Instead, we should welcome the Good Samaritan, the stranger in our midst, even the one from the North Pole, as a part of an overall festival which invites all of our neighbors to participate.
