Chatfield Drive will be closed Monday morning — April 7 — immediately north of Yaeger Road in south county.

A Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District contractor is performing pavement boring work at this location in conjunction with an MSD manhole construction project at Yaeger and Chatfield, according to Dave G. Wrone, public information manager for the county departments of Highways and Traffic and Public Works.

The closure will be in effect until the end of April.

Although Chatfield will be closed to “through” traffic for the duration of the closure, residents living along the road can access their property at all times, according to Wrone. “Thrrough” motorists will be detoured north on Mild — off Yaeger — and east on Cathedral and north to Kingspark.
