Charles W. ONeal, Jr., 73, died July 6 at Viera, Fla.
Mr. ONeal was born in St. Louis and re-sided in South St. Louis for 30 years.
He was employed by the U.S. government as chief of security at the Mechanicsburg Army Depot in Pennsylvania, as chief of security worldwide for NASA at Kennedy Space Center in Titusville, Fla., and as an adjunct professor for Webster University at its Orlando Campus teaching masters level courses in security management, cybersecurity and fraud for 43 years.
Mr. ONeal was a graduate of the FBI National Academy and the National Association of Fraud Investigators. He also achieved lifetime membership in the International Association of Chiefs of Police.
Survivors include his daughter, Kathleen Scheve; granddaughter, Madison Scheve; great-granddaughter, Sophia Scheve, all of Webster Groves; and his sister, Patricia Wiseman of south county.
Services were conducted at Beckman-Williamson Funeral Home in Viera, Fla.
He was cremated in Florida, and his ashes will be spread at his favorite places in St. Louis.
A private gathering of family and friends will take place at a date to be determined at his sisters south county home.
