Chamber recognizes Student of the Month

The Crestwood-Sunset Hills Area Chamber of Commerce recently joined Nancy Davis of Allegiant Bank in presenting Jeff Tienes with a $50 savings bond and a plaque in recognition of being named Student of the Month. Tienes, a senior and a hard worker, has served in several leadership positions on the Lindbergh High School Student Council. He also has played football all four years and helped the team place second in the 2002 state championship. Tienes is president of the German Club and a member of the TEAMS Physics/Math Competition group. In districtwide activities, he serves on the Renaissance Committee, the Curriculum Council and the Character Council. A member of the National Honor Society, Tienes carries a 4.37 grade-point average and is ranked No. 28 in a class of 450. He also has been elected to serve as president of his class for all four years. He has enjoyed helping to fulfill the Christmas “wish lists” of the babies and toddlers at Our Little Haven and was instrumental in helping Lindbergh be an active participant in the annual Chamber of Commerce Toy Drive.
