Snow fall

Students and many workers got out of school and work a few hours early last week as the area received snow Jan. 11 that measured up to a foot in some areas. Among the younger generation outside enjoying the snow was Mehlville School District first-grader Cooper Jennings, pictured above, who also helped his family shovel.

All schools in south county closing early ahead of storm

School closings have been announced in advance of a pending predicted snowstorm expected to start falling around noon Friday. Lindbergh Schools and the Mehlville School District will close early Friday.  The Hancock Place School District, Bayless Schools and Affton School District will also release students two hours early.
