Car cruise to benefit family of fallen officer

Car cruise to benefit family of fallen officer

A parade of cars, trucks and motorcycles will weave through south county streets Saturday, Oct. 29, in support of the family of fallen St. Louis County Police Officer Blake Snyder.

Anyone can participate in the cruise and enter their vehicle for a fee of $25. Smaller fees are set for participating just in the cruise or a car show. Prizes will be awarded, and a drawing to win a motorcycle will be held. All of the money raised will go directly to Snyder’s wife and son, through a partnership with the St. Louis County Police Welfare Association.

Registration for the car cruise will begin at 7:30 a.m. at O’Reilly Auto Parts, 9445 Gravois Road. The cruise will depart there at 10 a.m. and travel to Faith Church Sunset Hills, 13001 Gravois Road, where the car show will take place. Besides the car cruise and show, food and live music, attendees can enjoy a bounce house and meet and greets with Cardinals players.

Raffle tickets can be purchased in advance at Jim Butler Chevrolet in Fenton, Gold’s Gym in Fenton, Joey B’s in Concord Plaza, Advance Auto Parts on Telegraph Road, Blarney Stone in Oakville or Big St. Charles Motor Sports.
