Call Newspapers sponsors south county USO Operation October food drive

The Call Newspapers team with the thousands of donations from south county for the USO for Thanksgiving 2017.

Please join your local banks, credit unions and Call Newspapers in an effort to fill the wish list below for military families this Thanksgiving as part of the USO of Missouri’s sixth annual Operation October food drive.

The monthlong October drive provides Thanksgiving meals — everything except a turkey — for active military families in south county and across the state.

In 2017, volunteers assembled over 2,100 baskets to provide Thanksgiving dinners for military families. Call Newspapers, along with participating area banks, credit unions and the Call’s readers contributed to the most successful community food drive in the 35-year history of the USO of Missouri.

“We are looking forward to your help in exceeding that tremendous effort in 2018,” Call Publisher Debbie Baker said.

Visit any location listed below as often as you like through Oct. 27 to drop off wish-list items to fill baskets for the troops’ homecoming this Thanksgiving.
