To honor and recognize the efforts of Rep. Cloria Brown, R-Concord, for her work this year for Missouri veterans, Speaker of the House Steven Tilley awarded her the Freshman Legislator of the Year Award as an Advocate for Veterans. ‘I firmly believe actions speak louder than words and as an elected official, those actions are crucial to the well-being of our constituents. I commend Rep. Cloria Brown on her actions pertaining to funding of the veterans’ homes, showing firsthand that her actions demonstrate leadership for the people of her district,’ Tilley stated. As a member of the House Committee on Veterans, Brown helped promote legislation to ensure adequate funding for the seven veterans’ homes in Missouri.
