Brick campaign underway for enhancements to Tennis Complex

The Mehlville-Oakville Foundation is selling commemorative bricks to be placed at the Mehlville School District’s new Tennis Complex at Buerkle Middle School as a way to fund additional enhancements at the complex.

The tennis complex has eight courts to be enjoyed by the public and to serve as the home for the Mehlville and Oakville senior high school tennis teams.

The sale of commemorative bricks will help purchase bleacher seating for spectators, a storage unit for the high school teams’ equipment, benches for team seating, scorecard placards, an outpost board for placing informational notices, landscaping and ongoing court maintenance, according to a district news release.

The bricks will be placed in a 15-foot-by-15-foot area between the gated entrances to the courts.

A $100 donor will receive a 4-inch-by-8-inch paver with up to 39 engraved letters or numbers. A $250 donation includes an 8-inch-by-8-inch brick with up to 65 engraved letters or numbers. A $500 donation includes two engraved 8-inch-by-8-inch bricks.

The Mehlville-Oakville Foundation is a 501(c)3 organization and all donations are tax-deductible.
