Boy Scouts build Blades a new gaga-ball pit

Blades Elementary students are enjoying their new gaga-ball pit, built by Boy Scout Troop 824.
Gaga ball is a dodgeball-style game where students attempt to make contact with other players’ lower legs with a soft ball. Oakville High sophomore Ben Horn, a former Blades student, recruited his Boy Scout troop to help build the accessible gaga-ball pit.
“Students are able to work on agility skills, hand-eye coordination, teamwork and playing with integrity,” said Blades physical-education teacher Kevin Green. “The students are extremely enthusiastic to have the new game at recess.”
