The Billy Peek Band will open the 2006 Blues on the Mississippi concert series from 8 to 11 p.m. Friday, June 2, at Jefferson Barracks Park.

Peek is St. Louis’ best known blues/rock guitarist and is the opening act at Blues on the Mississippi for the 12th consecutive year. Gates open at 7 p.m. Tickets cost $10 per adult and are available at the gate.

Blues on the Mississippi concerts feature free parking — or close-up VIP parking for $5 — free admission for those under 13, low-cost concessions and lawn seating.

The music is performed in the Veterans’ Memorial Amphitheater. Carry-in food and beverages are welcome.
