Mary Elizabeth Biermann, daughter of Frederick and Mary Biermann of Sunset Hills, and Matthew Leo Engel, son of William and Shirley Engel of Oakville, announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage.
Biermann is a 1999 graduate of Cor Jesu Academy and a 2003 graduate of St. Louis University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She is employed by St. Louis University as a graduate research assistant and is working on a master’s degree in counseling. A December 2005 graduation is anticipated.
Her fiance, Engel, is a 1993 graduate of Victory Christian High School and a 1996 graduate of MidAmerica Mortuary College in Indiana. He is employed by Kutis Funeral Home as a mortician.
The couple plan to be married July 31 at St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church.
