An end-of-session town-hall meeting will be conducted Thursday, June 8, by Reps. Doug Beck, D-Affton, and Sarah Unsicker, D-Shrewsbury.

The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. at the Affton Elks Lodge, 6330 Heege Road.

Residents will be provided with an end-of-session legislative recap, as well as the opportunity to ask questions, provide input and express any concerns they may have regarding outcomes of the 2017 state legislative session, according to a news release.

“This was the first legislative session for both Rep. Unsicker and I,” Beck stated in the release. “We absorbed a great amount of information and insight regarding the many pressing issues our constituents face every day. We simply want to provide our constituents with the means to educate themselves on what has taken place in the Missouri Legislature and provide us with feedback.”

Unsicker stated in the release, “The measures we take action on daily directly impact the livelihood of our constituents and are oftentimes extremely difficult to keep up with.

“Missourians deserve access to the individuals they elected to serve them and to have their voices heard. This end-of-session recap will provide them with that opportunity,” she added.
