Beck, Heisse to discuss issues in a forum

The Affton Community Improvement Association is hosting a forum between Rep. Doug Beck, D-Affton, and his Republican challenger for 92nd District Missouri House, Bill Heisse.

The forum will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, at the organization’s meeting at the Seven Holy Founders Parish Center. The Parish Center is on Aliceton Avenue behind the church. The event should last about an hour, the organization said in the letter inviting both candidates.

Both Beck and Heisse have signaled they plan to attend the forum.

The association is a faith-based initiative of Seven Holy Founders and the new St. John Paul II Parish created by the merger of St. Dominic Savio and St. George parishes.

“Our purpose is to keep alert to what is happening in Affton and to work with others to keep the Affton area a thriving, desirable place to live,” the association said in a letter to the candidates.
