Basket of Hope plans 10th anniversary celebration

Basket of Hope, a non-profit organization that delivers baskets to children suffering with a serious illness, will celebrate 10 years of giving hope.

Basket of Hope delivers more than 1,000 basket a year in this area. The baskets the organization delivers are filled with Bibles, inspirational items, music, CD players, toys, hats, games and many other items.

Each basket is valued at more than $200 each and is hand delivered by volunteers.

Since its inception, Basket of Hope has expanded to several more states, including Arkansas, Illinois, Iowa, New Mexico, Ne-vada and Arizona. For its 10th anniversary, Basket of Hope will conduct a dinner auction Friday, Nov. 11, at the Millennium Hotel, 200 S. Fourth St., St. Louis. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.

Basket of Hope’s Board of Directors Chairman Tom O’Neal of KTVI-TV will serve as master of ceremonies for the event. Ron and Becky Beach will co-chair the auction.

Tickets cost $75 and include dinner, open bar, silent and oral auction and live entertainment. Tables of 10 are available.
