Charlie and Kelly Backer of St. Louis announce the birth of their first child, Carson Gabriel, 20.5 inches, 8 pounds, 5 ounces. He was born Dec. 18 at St. Luke’s Hospital.
Maternal grandparents are Don and Diane Schmidt of St. Louis.
Paternal grandparents are John and Kathy Backer of St. Louis.
