The Mehlville Board of Education voted last week to hire an assistant high school principal intern at Oakville Senior High School and accept the resignation of an elementary-school principal.

Brian Brennan, a Mehlville Senior High School math teacher for the past seven years, has been named assistant principal intern at Oakville High. At Mehlville, he was the math department co-chair, Student Council co-adviser and head wrestling coach.

“I am very excited for the opportunity to join the Oakville team,” Brennan stated in a news release. “I am looking forward to all the new challenges that await.”

Brennan is taking over for Rocky Streb, who moved to Buerkle Middle School as interim principal.

The board also accepted the resignation of Wohlwend Elementary School Principal Christa Warner, effective immediately.

“We want to thank Dr. Warner for her service to the Mehlville School District and wish her the very best in her new career,” Superintendent Terry Noble stated.
