World War II veteran and Affton resident Charles “Chuck” O’Reilly turned 96 Sept. 11.
O’Reilly was born in 1925 and has lived in Affton in the home he and his late wife Audrey bought 67 years ago.
His caregiver Julie Heuer arranged a drive-by parade with vehicles from the Affton Fire Department, St. Louis County Police, the Veterans Association and 20 well-wishers.His two sons, Ron and Dan, were on hand to ensure their dad enjoyed the special occasion.
