Affton School District officials recently met with representatives from local churches to discuss updates in the schools and how both institutions can work together to meet the needs of Affton students and families, according to a district news release.

Superintendent Steve Brotherton, Community Relations Director Erica Chandler and Dena Christ and Maggie Stockmann, social workers in the district and administrators of the Affton Family Fund, met with the representatives Dec. 6.

“We recognize the importance of the roles played by the home, the church, and the schools in raising any child,” Brotherton stated in the release. “I look forward to continuing our conversations with the Affton-area clergy, and to forming partnerships and synergies to benefit our students.”
