Affton Christian Church, 9625 Tesson Ferry Road, will provide a free Thanks-giving dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 25.

More than 50 people participated in the event last year. This year, the church is preparing to serve 200 people and is opening the free meal to Affton and adjacent communities. The outreach is designed to help those who are struggling financially as well as those who find themselves alone on this holiday.

The Rev. David Woodard, lead pastor of the church, stated in a news release, “This is the second year we are offering this free meal to the community. Given the shape of our economy, we know that many people are struggling right now.”

A limited area of delivery and/or pickup will be available upon request. No reservation is needed.
