Auditions for the Affton CenterStage Theatre’s upcoming performances of “Song of Survival” will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 17, and at noon Saturday, Aug. 19, at Mid-America Grocers, 5431 Chippewa.

Parts are available for 14 females, ages 17 and older. Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script.

“Song of Survival” will be performed Oct. 13 and Oct. 14. Based on the autobiographical work of Helen Colijn, who survived 31⁄2 years of internment in Japanese prisoner of war camps, “Song of Survival” is a drama about the women in the camps and how they survived and the music they created to sustain themselves. The drama includes the glorious music that united them and gave them hope.
