About Call Newspapers:

They say dynamite comes in small packages. Well, these days so do great community newspapers.

Today, people know that if they want to know what’s going on in south county, they’ve gotta read the Call.

From the start, the Call’s unique direct-mail or total-mail-market business model, which delivers the weekly news to the mailboxes of every homeowner and business owner, has brought the community closer together. The weekly delivery of the Call has always been one of the most anticipated of the week.

People say they “just love that little paper” when they find out where we work or when customers overhear our sales representatives’ presentations to local businesses. The Oakville Call was launched without fanfare to zip code 63129 in August 1989. By December, sales had already exceeded the company’s projections for its third year of operations.

“The combination of hard-hitting and pertinent local news, direct mail delivery, our readers’ response and the business generated by our advertisers is very gratifying,” said Publisher Deborah Baker.

The company followed with the Concord Call for postal zip code 63128 in November 1990. The SunCrest Call began serving Sunset Hills and Crestwood in 1996, followed by the Green Park Call in zip code 63123 in 1997 and the expanded Mail Call edition that goes to all of south county six times a year, including all of zip codes 63010 (Arnold), 63125 (Lemay) and 63123 (Affton).

Statement of purpose:

We dedicate ourselves to the public, holding its welfare in the highest regard and standing firmly in opposition to any who would oppose it.
